Our location allows easy access to a wide range of activities and days out, but if you prefer you are more than welcome to relax in our peaceful garden and enjoy the mountain views.

As summer draws to an end there is one more spectacular treat that nature has in store for us before winter sets in.
During autumn the leaves change to amazing gold and red colours offering amazing scenery throughout the area.

ACTIVITIES

CYCLING

The cycle routes here are stunning and people from all over the world come here to enjoy some of the best cycling in Europe. Simply choose from leisurely rides by rivers and lakes, various mountain bike routes with mixed terrain or long distance tours.
Whatever your choice you will find well signposted bike paths and tracks set amongst amazing scenery. We can provide comfortable and well maintained bikes as well as maps to get you on your way.

White water rafting

For those seeking extra thrills the river Traun has much
to offer from white water rafting to gentle canoe trips.

Kite surfing

Ebensee is fast becoming the premier kite surfing destination in Austria and is host to the Austrian Kite Surfing trophy.

Experienced kite surfers and beginners will love the reliable conditions with the warm waters of lake Traunsee as an added benefit.

WALKING

The area around Ebensee has over 200 km of marked trails ranging from relaxed walks around picturesque lakes to more demanding full day trecks.

Austria has some of the most spectacular and well kept golf courses in the world. There are seven courses in our area.

LAKE TRAUNSEE

Lake Traunsee which is only one mile from our house is home to most water sports.  In addition to kite surfing you can experience wind surfing, sailing, water skiing, diving and, of course, swimming.

There is so much to offer including parapenting, white water rafting, and canyoning for the more adventurous, or maybe just visiting the nearby towns of Traunkirchen, Gmunden or Bad Ischl.
