Salzburg
| No
visit to Austria is complete without a trip to Salzburg. The city has
magnificent cathedrals, a castle, beautiful gardens and a lovely old town
shopping area. Driving to Salzburg takes about an hour with easy
parking available. There are great street cafes where you can sit and
watch the world go by or maybe you could take a horse drawn carriage ride to
see more of the city.

Bad Ischl
Bad Ischl is only 10 minutes away and
is the former summer residence of the Austrian royal family. Today you
can take a tour of the palace, visit the congress theatre or just sit by the
river and take in the views.
No visit to Bad Ischl would be complete without a stop at Zauners Cafe which
offers hand made cakes and pastries that are hard to beat.

Swimming
|
Swimming in the crystal clear waters of the mountain lakes is truly
magical. The water warms up through the summer and the surrounding
views are breathtaking. Alternatively we have Luxury spa baths or
outside swimming pools to enjoy. |

Summer Toboggan
|
Great fun for the
entire family, there are 2 summer toboggan runs, one at Strobl overlooking
St Wolfgang and the second by lake Fuschl. You get pulled up the hill
by a ski lift and then slide down the twisting toboggan run.

Rafting
|
If you fancy a bit of
adventure then maybe you would like to try rafting or canoeing with our
local activity sport company, they offer full day and half day tours and
can also offer calmer trips for kids too.

Ice Caves
The
Dachstein ice caves are reached by taking the cable car from Obertraun.
You are then guided through fantastic ice formations deep in the heart of
the Dachstein Mountains.

Cable Cars
There
are many cable cars that operate during the summer, the closest of which is
in our vilage. The Feuerkogel Cable Car takes you to a high plateau
where you can chose from a variety of walks or just sit and take in the
breathtaking views in one of the mountain restaurants.

Water Skiing
Water
skiing is always great fun and made much easier on flat lakes rather than
out at sea. Thomas is a great instructor and seems to get everyone up
on the skis with no problems (even me).
